چکیده

高木 博司 ・犬飼 利也 ・中間 元隆 Haffner's tail-pinch method (1) for testing analgesic drugs has been adopted in many laboratories either in the original method (2-4, 17) or in the varieties of modifications (5-7). Certain objections can, however, be raised against the use of the Haffner's method; the intensity of the painful stimulus produced by this method is not shown in figures, neither is it varied quantitatively. The improvement of these disadvantages has been carried out by Eddy (8), Friend and Harris (9), Fleish and Dolivo (10), Brodie et al. (11), Green and Young (12), Yanai (13), Takagi and Kameyama (14), and so on, but there seems still no ideal method exists. T he Authors discribe here a simple tail-pinch method, which the intensity of pres sure stimulus is varied quantitatively and which satisfies the sensitivity and reproduci bility for testing non-narcotic analgesics as well as narcotics.

Analgesic activity and opiate receptor binding of 1-cyclohexyl-4-(1,2-diphenylethyl)piperazine.

It has been stated that there is good correlation between the analgesic activity of narcotic drugs and their inhibitory effects for 3H-naloxone stereospecific binding (1). We reported that R(-)-1,2-diphenyl-l-dimethylaminoethane, (Spa) is the essential structure for morphine like analgesics (2), and that Spa is one-tenth as active as morphine , while the S(+)-enan tiomer is inactive. 1-Cyclohex...

On the modification of the preconditioned AOR iterative method for linear system

In this paper, we will present a modification of the preconditioned AOR-type method for solving the linear system. A theorem is given to show the convergence rate of modification of the preconditioned AOR methods that can be enlarged than the convergence AOR method.

A modification of Chebyshev-Halley method free from second derivatives for nonlinear equations

‎In this paper‎, ‎we present a new modification of Chebyshev-Halley‎ ‎method‎, ‎free from second derivatives‎, ‎to solve nonlinear equations‎. ‎The convergence analysis shows that our modification is third-order‎ ‎convergent‎. ‎Every iteration of this method requires one function and‎ ‎two first derivative evaluations‎. ‎So‎, ‎its efficiency index is‎ ‎$3^{1/3}=1.442$ that is better than that o...

Numerical solvability of system of Fredholm-Hammerstein integral equations using Modification of Hat Function

A system of integral equations can describe different kind of problems in sciences and engineering. There are many different methods for numerical solution of linear and nonlinear system of integral equations. This paper proposed a numerical method based on modification of Hat functions for solving system of Fredholm-Hammerstein integral equations. The proposed method reduced a system of integr...
